Job description: Piano/keyboard instructor needed for beginning piano students in 1st – 4th grade.  Students participate in two lessons per week – one 30 minute partner lesson (2 students with one teacher) and one 45 minute group lesson (6 to 10 students at a time) in the keyboard lab at Emerson Elementary School.  Students play on electronic keyboards and upright acoustic pianos. 
Music con Brio uses a holistic approach to teaching music, incorporating music reading, ear training, singing, and basic music theory into lessons.  Instructor should be open to new curriculum ideas and team teaching.  Creative approaches to teaching welcome!  Experience with percussion is a definite plus, but is not necessary to apply.
Instructor must be available to teach at Emerson at least two days a week during normal after school hours starting at 2:30 pm.  Pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
