Wisconsin Public Radio – Talk Show Host/Producer
This individual is primarily responsible for substitute hosting live statewide talk shows. Hosting will involve moderating live interview and call-in discussions about topics of statewide, national, and international importance. Fill-in work will occur, on average, 15 weeks of the year but coverage for extended absences could significantly increase time on air. When not on the air, this individual will be responsible for producing talk shows. Producing involves researching and pitching topics, pre-interviewing, scheduling and preparing materials for the interview. It also includes call-screening and direction. This position reports to the Assistant Ideas Network Director. To read more about the position, please visit http://www.wpr.org/about/jobs/host-producer_pd.cfm.
