Madison School & Community Recreation is looking for highly qualified applicants for the following positions:

*Hoyt Super Center Arts Camp – Group Leader* (2-4)
Salary: $9.35/hr
Job type: Full-time/seasonal, 40 hours/week
Functions: Assist in implementing daily activities for elementary age
participants, organizing and set-up of space and supplies, lead a group of
15-20 participants, assist in creating an inclusive environment for
participants with disabilities, plan and lead elective activities and
ensure the safety for 60+ campers.
Estimated start date: 06/11/12
Estimated end date: 08/17/12
Hours of work: between 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
Total hours of work per week: 40 – four, ten-hour days/week. Day off TBD
Required knowledge, skills & abilities: Previous experience working with
elementary-aged youth grades preferably in camp setting.
Minimum qualifications: Must be creative, enthusiastic and have a strong
interest in working with youth. Ability to communicate with staff and
parents and contribute to team effort. MUST BE AVAILABLE ALL PROGRAM DATES
AND TIMES.  Must be available for mandatory training, June 11-15.
Desired qualifications: Fluent in Spanish a plus, but not required.

*Super Center Arts Camp Assistant Site Director* (1)
Salary: $11.45/hr
Job type: Full time/seasonal, 40 hours/week
Functions:  Coordinate, supervise and facilitate arts day camp for up to 75
elementary-aged participants in a school setting.  Major duties include:
supervising and evaluating staff, overseeing curriculum planning,
supervising youth safety and assisting with behavior management, planning
field trips and coordinating bus transportation, assisting with and
supporting inclusion of participants with disabilities, communicating with
parents, and administrative duties at camp.
Estimated start date: 6/4/12
Estimated end date: 8/21/12
Hours of work: Between 7:30-5:30 pm
Total hours of work per week: 40 hrs
Required knowledge, skills & abilities: Must have more than 2+ years
experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds in art camp/day camp
settings. Must have proven dependability, teamwork, leadership skills,
flexibility, enthusiasm and readiness to actively participate in all
aspects of program. Previous experience supervising staff desired.
Minimum qualifications: Must be creative & enthusiastic.  MUST BE AVAILABLE
ALL PROGRAM DATES/TIMES.  Must be available for evening trainings the first
two weeks of June.
Desired qualifications: Fluent in Spanish a plus, but not required.
Other information: American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR and
First Aid certification desired.  Please complete and upload a current
