Department of Music
Position: Artist/Teacher of Voice (Bass/Baritone/Tenor), Assistant Professor
Position Description:
The primary responsibility will be teaching studio voice for undergraduates.  Additional responsibilities are dependent on the candidate’s qualifications and may include teaching Diction, Vocal Pedagogy, Opera Workshop, or other duties as assigned.  The candidate must recruit successfully for the vocal program.
Department/University Description:
The Music Department is housed in the state
of-the-art Noel Fine Arts Center on the UWSP Campus and employs 20 full-time and 4 part-time faculty.  The department has a strong commitment to music education, a full array of performing ensembles (choirs, opera workshop, bands, orchestra, chamber music) and majors in Music Education, Performance, Jazz Studies, Music Literature and a Bachelor of Arts option as well as a Master’s degree in Music Education.  UWSP has an outstanding reputation preparing musicians for successful careers in music education and performance.  Please visit our website for more information: http://www.uwsp.edu/music

Terms of Employment:
Tenure track, nine month appointment.  Salary will be determined by the background and credentials of the successful candidate.
