Title: Operations Manager
Reports To: General Director
Start Date: As early as October 3, 2011. Job will be open until a suitable candidate is selected.

Hours:
10/3/11 – 12/31/11 – Approx. 15 hours week
During this time, the candidate will work with the current Tour Manager to learn all systems.
$12.00 – $14.50/hour depending upon experience (Hourly, non-exempt until 1/3/12.)

Beginning 1/1/12 – 75% Time Personnel
Position would move to salaried personnel at 75% with a benefits package. (Paid holiday, sick time, vacation time and healthcare reimbursement stipend is available prorated to 75%. Please note, OFY does not directly offer healthcare insurance.)

The Position: The Operations Manager is a key member of the Opera for the Young staff and is responsible for three primary functions: tour management, company management, and budget/finance. The Operations Manager must be able to work both independently and collaboratively, take initiative and seek advice as needed. S/he must have enthusiasm for the arts/arts education/OFY mission, exhibit excellent customer service, be able to manage several large projects at once and meet all deadlines. S/he must have a high attention to detail and be results-oriented. This job requires some nights and weekends, and occasional overnight travel.
