The university will launch a “Creative Arts and Design Residential Learning Community” in the fall 2012, housing 65-130 primarily first-year students in Sellery Hall. Through workshops, seminars, collaborative spaces, service learning opportunities, and round-tables, this residential learning community will draw together undergraduate students who are passionate about creative arts and design and encourage them to work, play, study, and create together. The project is sponsored by the UW Arts Institute, University Housing and the Madison Initiative for Undergraduates and has 14 academic participating departments. The vision for this project includes advancing collaboration among campus sponsors and serving as a gateway to campus resources and opportunities for students.
The Program Coordinator is a member of the Creative Arts and Design Residential Learning Community leadership team and operates collaboratively in providing intellectual, programmatic, and organizational direction and support to students living in the CADLC.
