Abbie Furmansky (BM 1988) will meet with undergraduate and graduate singers for an informal discussion of careers, management, opportunities in Europe and more.

Abbie Furmansky came to prominence in Europe as an ensemble member at the Deutsche Oper Berlin where she quickly established herself in the lyric soprano repertoire. Recent performances have included Robert Wilson’s Los Angeles Opera production of Parsifal with Placido Domingo, her Netherlands Opera debut in Elektra and new productions in new roles at Staatstheater Mainz as the Marschallin in Strauss’s Rosenkavalier, Jenny in Weill’s Mahagonny, Mimi in Puccini’s La boheme and her debut as Marie in Wozzeck. Orchestral appearances include Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic and Bavarian Radio Orchestra.
