Hawthorne Library Offers Computer Skills Classes
January 5, 2011 – Madison, WI – Madison residents looking to develop their computing skills in the New Year will have the opportunity to learn the basics, or refresh their skills, on Tech Tuesdays at the Hawthorne Branch Library (2707 E. Washington Ave., 246-4548). Classes begin in January and continue through the end of April. Meetings include sessions on computer use, internet and email basics, power searching, mobile phone use, and Craigslist and blogging.
Space is limited, and registration is required; registration opens 3 weeks prior to the date of each class. Register for sessions online by visiting http://www.madisonpubliclibrary.org/calendar, or by calling the Hawthorne Library at (608) 246-4548. All events begin at 9:00 a.m.
