Small jazz group desired for health care facility

The Central Wisconsin Center (CWC) in Madison. CWC is a long-term health care facility for individuals that are diagnosed with severe to profound intellectual and or developmental disabilities.

We plan our first Mardi Gras event and we are looking for a small jazz group to come in to perform for our residents. The date of our event is Thursday, January 25. We would like to hold our performance in the afternoon from 1-2pm. If the afternoon doesn’t work, we are willing to have a performance in the morning anytime between 9:30 and 11:30am. We have $150.00 set aside to pay an entertainer, but they need to have a W-9 form on file first with our business office before a check can be written out. It can be one person or an organization that is representing the entire group that completes the paperwork.

Brass music wanted for July wedding

Seeking French Horn ensemble or brass quintet/ensemble (# of members and orchestration flexible) to play a wedding ceremony Saturday, July 28th 2018. It will be just for pre-ceremony music along with the processional and possibly recessional. It is on the lawn at Elks Lodge so it will be outdoors from around 3PM-5PM at the latest (this includes setup time).

I need a group that can play Wagner’s “Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral” or Ennio Morricone’s “Ecstasy of Gold”. Bonus points if you also know his “Love Theme”. If it was at all possible to play some version of REO Speed Wagon’s “Roll with the Changes” that would be neat but not required as I know it’s certainly not a standard.

I’d like to weigh in on the song list for pre-ceremony music but I am open to whatever pieces a group already knows, I just want to help pick them out.

This is a paid gig, negotiable based on how many musicians are in the ensemble. I would say $500 minimum as a jumping off point but we can definitely discuss as I would like to pay whatever is standard these days.

Thanks so much for your time and I hope to hear back from someone!

Strolling brass players and carolers wanted-Dec. 3

My name is Becky Simmet. I own the Century Barn out in Mt. Horeb. We will host a Christmas Market, November 30th through December 3rd. This Christmas Market will be an outdoor and indoor (barn) even and be modeled after the classic European Christmas market. There will be food, beverages, gifts, artisans, Christmas Trees, and much more. We are looking for a brass quartet or quartets, and carolers to play or sing out at the market. We envision this group to stroll around and play in different spots.

The market will be from 4pm until 9pm on Thursday and Friday and from 1pm until 9pm on Saturday and Sunday. Depending on the musician’s willingness, I would like to find music for all days and different times. We already have music set for Friday from 5 – 8 and Sunday 6 – 8pm.

We will obviously pay the musicians. The amount can be negotiated.

Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Thank you!!
