Strings Ensemble wanted for September wedding

My fiancé and I are getting married 9/23/17 just outside of Arena, WI (25 miles west of Madison).  Our ceremony time is not yet determined, but we are thinking music will be required from 4-6 for ceremony and cocktail hour.  Our venue is an outdoor location and you will have the shade of a large tree.

We are flexible on the musical instruments and arrangement, but are leaning towards some sort of string duo/trio (violin/guitar/cello or any combination thereof).  Ideally we would like a vocalist as well, if that is an option.

We are willing to pay the performers what they believe is a fair rate.  Please contact me back at this email or you can reach my cell phone at 715-797-0283.

Post # 2: Band Wanted for Wedding Entertainment – Sept. 16

(Second of two posts)

Wedding Reception Entertainment

Engaged couple is seeking a FUN, high energy group or band to entertain their wedding guests from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Orchard lawn in Mineral Point, WI.  The wedding is a Great Gatsby Theme so a Jazz or Big Band twist on modern music would be welcome and vice versa! The reception and music must end at 10:00 p.m. as required by the City of Mineral Point so there will not be any last minute requests to extend playing time. This couple is very open to the right group of talent so bring them your ideas and your enthusiasm! To narrow it, country and rock would not be preferred by the couple, but popular music that make people happy and move is a plus! They are open to jazz, pianos, brass bands etc. and previously considered dueling pianos so something interactive and lively is what they would like. This is an outdoor wedding, but it will be tented. Staging can be provided if requested. Couple anticipates they would be paying the musicians for their time and wish to book a group as soon as possible. Signed contract will be required.

Post # 1: String Musicians Wanted for Wedding Ceremony & Cocktail Hour – Sept. 16

(First of two posts)

String Musicians Wanted for Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour Music Sept. 16, Mineral Point

Engaged couple is seeking one to four instrumentalists for their wedding ceremony & cocktail hour. Couple prefers string instruments, possibly a quartet, but are open minded and love the cello, specifically. Instruments that do not need to be plugged in or are more mobile would be preferred.

This is an outdoor wedding with ceremony and reception located on the same property so travel from one location to another is not needed. Musicians would be contracted to perform from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Orchard Lawn in Mineral Point, WI. Musicians would be required to play just before and during the ceremony, as well as through the cocktail hour and background music during the dinner.

We would arrange a break schedule as needed.

This wedding has a Great Gatsby theme so focus on the 20’s through the 40’s would be appreciated, as well as the ability to learn 2 to 3 special songs for the ceremony. Formal attire is required. Great Gatsby attire is even better! Couple anticipates they would be paying the musicians for their time and wish to book musicians as soon as possible. Contract will be required.
