October wedding string ensemble wanted

We  seek a string quartet, trio, or duo for our wedding ceremony (preferably a quartet but we’re open to other ensembles). The wedding will be held on October 20, 2018 at the Maple Bluff Country Club (500 Kensington Drive, Madison, WI 53704).

The ceremony will begin by 3:30 PM but we would like music to start by 3:15 PM. It will be a short non-religious ceremony so I would expect no more than 30 minutes of actual playing time.

If you are looking for a longer gig, we are having a cocktail hour following the ceremony and could negotiate including that as well. This is a paid gig however the price is negotiable, so bring us your offers!

Email is the best way to reach me: wedding.griswold@gmail.com.

Thank you,

Sarah Barnsley

Celtic band desired for August 18 wedding

I am a wedding planner in the area currently planning a wedding on August 18th of this year and we are looking for musicians for the cocktail hour and ceremony approximately 6-8pm. The wedding is at a fully outdoor venue in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. The type of music we are looking for is Scottish/Irish/Celtic based,, very much on the whimsical side.

We are going to do a cocktail hour in a big clearing for guests for about an hour before the ceremony and would be looking for light background music during this time. Then, approximately at sunset, the entire group will go on a 10 minute hike through a wooded path, leading to a large clearing in the middle of the woods where their ceremony will take place. We want the musicians to be walking and playing on this hike both before and after the ceremony, so the guests can follow the music. The instruments will need to be very portable. Ideally the bride wants a fiddle, whistles, flute and bagpipes.

Please contact me ASAP at sarah@huevents.net or 262-339-7004 if this is something you can do. This is a paid opportunity at a negotiable rate.

Thank you!
Sarah
