Single Malt Society of Madison seeks Irish fiddler(s) for January party

Single Malt Society of Madison (private whisky-tasting club) is a fun, informal club that meets once a month to appreciate excellent whisky. Every January, we have this formal(ish) event with bagpipes, haggis, and everything Scottish.
The event happens to be at the Madison Curling Club, and while there we’ll probably do some pre-supper curling just for fun.
Performers who join us for the evening are 100% welcome & invited to enjoy the entire event with us.

Gig: Play some traditional Scottish or Irish music at our club’s big Burns Night Supper. I’m thinking mostly “lively fiddle,” but anything along those lines would be great!
A solo performer would be good. A due or trio would be even better!

Date: Saturday, January 5, 2019
Music around 8-10 PM, very flexible (You’re welcome to attend the entire event beginning at 5:00 PM, supper at 7:00 PM.)
At the Madison Curling Club in McFarland

• $50 cash, negotiable
• Put out a tip jar to be filled by our 30-40 generous attendees
• Share our big delicious traditional Scottish supper
• If you’re 21+, enjoy tasting some excellent single malt scotch and other whiskies

Pianist for holiday music – Dec. 2

We are looking for a piano player to play Christmas/Holiday music in our home in Stoughton on Sunday, December 2nd from 3pm – 7pm.

We are serving as a “host home” for Stoughton’s Victorian Village Christmas Home tour, a fundraiser for Relay for Life / The American Cancer Society. The event features home tours of four Stoughton homes, and we anticipate approx. 100-150 people touring our home over the duration of the event. We have a recently tuned, Beckwith upright piano and we thought it would be a wonderful treat for home tour guests to enjoy listening to tunes of holiday cheer as they made there way through our home! We have very limited holiday sheet music, and request that the player provides their own Christmas/Holiday music.

We’d be willing to pay $125 for playing, or make a donation of this amount to a charity of choice. If needed, we can also provide transportation to/from Madison.

Our home is at 504 Jackson St, Stoughton, and my phone number is 262-483-7204 / email conger.brian@gmail.com.

Best regards,
