Trumpeter wanted for local band

Seeking a brass player, preferably trumpet, to form a band that
will play mostly Blues and Jazz Standards with lots of Original songs.
Think Tom Waits, Leon Redbone, JJ Cale, Brownie McGhee, Josh White… We
would be guitar/vocals, bass, and horn and we would play out two to three
times monthly (paid gigs). I have a new CD coming out next month and can
send samples of the sound I am looking for to anyone who is interested.
It would be great to find someone who is willing to play regularly,
however, I can also work with someone who can’t commit regularly but would
be capable of sitting in now and then.

Strings wanted for July wedding

Seeking strings for a wedding ceremony at Lake Windsor Country Club on July 28th. The wedding will be indoors. We are open to anywhere from 1-5 musicians together, but we MUST have a minimum of one cello. We’re flexible on what other instruments may join them.

The ceremony would be from 4-4:30pm and we’d begin pre-ceremony music at 3:30. We’d be looking for pre-ceremony, prelude, entrance and exit music. No specific songs in mind at this time.

Payment is negotiable depending upon experience and what you’re willing to do. Planning on somewhere in the $300-$1000 range depending on how large the group.

I am the wedding planner. Interested parties please reach out to me at sarah@huevents.net.

Thank you,
Sarah Davidson

Chazen Museum seeks strings or flutes for March 1 reception

The Chazen Museum of Art  seeks performer(s) for an upcoming reception. The exhibition focuses on 19th century American painting, so string performers (cello, violin) or flutists would be ideal, but not required.

Date & Time: Thursday, March 1, 2018 – 5:30 – 7:30 PM
Paid: YES

NOTE: You will be playing music while the reception is happening in the lobby of the Chazen Museum of Art, so the performance will be rather informal.
